plastic and pink
There’s a pink and plastic rosary knotted and falling on my chest,
it rests as I squirm,
I rip it off and over my head.
But as I put it on again,
I feel my neck contracting,
invisible fingers strangle,
and once it’s off, broken apart,
I can still feel Gods hand’s on my throat.
Each bead signifies the end,
or is it the birth of all good,
I count them in dreams sacred...
